What we collect when you email us or visit this site, why, who processes it, how long we keep it, and how to use your rights.
Who we are
The controller of your data is Quyen Nguyen, Y-tunnus 3592700-9, trading as Scrutoire. For anything about your data, write to hello@scrutoire.com.
What we collect
This site has no contact form. If you email us, we receive:
- your name and email address
- what you write in the message, and any attachments
When you visit the site, our hosting provider sees technical request data such as your IP address.
Why we collect it
To read and reply to your inquiry. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract. We do not use your details for marketing mail.
Who processes it
These providers process data on our behalf:
- Zoho Mail, our email provider, stores the messages you send us.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and serves its pages, so it sees technical request data such as your IP address.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views, only when its token is configured. It does not use cookies.
Some of these providers operate outside the EEA. Where data leaves the EEA, the transfer relies on the safeguards the provider offers, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep an inquiry email and the thread that follows for 12 months after the last message, then delete it. If we start a project together, records we must keep by law are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you and get a copy
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data erased
- restrict how we use it
- object to our use of it
- receive it in a portable format
To use any of these, write to hello@scrutoire.com. We answer within one month. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi) or to the authority in your own country.
